This informal service is open to all, not just UUs, and will include readings, music, and a story for all ages, as well as sharing of ideas.
Tim Cordon, Social Justice Coordinator at First Unitarian Society in Madison, who is traveling around Wisconsin with the Building Unity project to promote peace, justice, sustainability, democracy and freedom, will lead the service. This will be a celebration of hope and faith from a variety of perspectives, including faith in ourselves and each other, science and our survival strategies.
We will start by meeting behind the “Building Unity” banner at the entrance to the Fair at 10:15 am, so that those who wish to attend the service only may enter without paying the MREA Energy Fair admission. Feel free to bring a sign or banner for the 10:30 procession to the Building Unity bus in the Tiny Home Alley. No admission is required if you join the group before 10:30, but anyone wishing to stay after the service will need to purchase a ticket. Bring a chair if needed, no seating will be provided.
